Two Top Target Bucks Down

Had several bucks on my hit list over here but #1 and #2 both went for truck rides. I was lucky enough to harvest one of the bucks, the other was harvested of a neighboring farm. I had this haus at 45 yds on Nov. 10th but couldn't close the deal, one of the cooler hunting experiences I have ever had just having that deer at 45 yards and madder than a hornet as I snort wheezed to get him that close. He ended up getting whacked opening day of gun season on Nov. 13th by a young man just a few hundred yards from us.

I am glad that I got to see what happened to the big ol boy as it would have haunted me if I never saw him again and didn't get to see the harvest photos. Congrats again to the young man on a tremendous whitetail. Hopefully there are a few out there for next season ;)

Two awesome deer there! Its bitter-sweet in a way knowing a target buck has hit the dirt, but atleast we have closer. Congrats!!!
