Any other fans out there. Im predicting wins from GSP, Florian, and hopefully Lesnar. Since its in the twin cities, Ill be there live to watch the fights. Im getting pretty excited.

There are going to be some great fights up there. My brother in law scored some tickets for it. It should be a blast for all of you that are lucky enough to watch it in person...

Herring will dominate Lesnar.

GSP and Fitch fight is a toss up for me on who I would like to see win, I like both of them, but I bet GSP takes it.

I hope Huerta beats the hell out of Florian.

I dont think herring will dominate because of the way he lost his ufc debut. He could not stuff the take downs of O'brien, and obrien is not a big player in the ufc. I think herring is more well rounded but most will not be able to deal with the strengh of lesnar. (Unless you can spin for a leg off your back)

I still think that Herring will be able to keep Brock at bay and keep him from getting him on the ground. Herring has a ton of experience, and is quite the bannger on his feet, something that could definitly put Brock away.

Not that I don't like Lesnar, but his chin hasn't been tested, nor has he off his back, and wrestlers do not do well on their backs. If he comes in with a good game plan, and gets Herring on the ground, he could pound it out easily.

I'm pumped to see those fights. I hope for a Fitch win, but it will be tough...GSP's focused to not lose that belt on the first defense again. The lesnar/herring fight could be one for the ages...just depends who catches who and if it stays on the feet or goes to the mat. Huerta better beware of Florian's elbows or he'll end up with a wicked gash.

I'm 5'9" and 172, about the same size as GSP, and even when I was in shape I didn't come close to looking like he does...at any rate Jon FITCH would scare me. He looks plain-mean! That should be a great fight. Go Fitch.

Saturday's fight card is pretty good. I think GSP will win but wont be surprised if Fitch pulls it out. Huerta and Florian should be a great fight. I think Huerta will pull out a decision win. Herring has a ton more octagon experience and I think that will give him the edge but he will have to watch out for Lesnar's power. If hes not careful Lesnar will KO him. It will be interesting to see how Kongo does since he lost to Herring. Not sure that fight will be shown.

I like GSP, that guy is probably #2 in the UFC pound for pound, Fitch is tough as nails but I just can't see picking against GSP. Huerta is one of my favorite UFC fighters to watch, his fight a few months ago with Leonard Garcia was just plain awesome and he always comes out to put on a show. Lesnar is a toss up, I would think if he gets Herring on the ground with a takedown he should be able to keep him there, however if it stays on the feet I see him getting put away. Shuld be a great card

MAIN CARD
Georges St. Pierre vs. Jon Fitch (T)
Brock Lesnar vs. Heath Herring
Kenny Florian vs. Roger Huerta
Rob Emerson vs. Manny Gamburyan
Jason MacDonald vs. Demian Maia

PRELIMINARY CARD
Luke Cummo vs. Tamdan McCrory
Dan Evensen vs. Cheick Kongo
Jon Jones vs. Andre Gusmao
Steve Bruno vs. Chris Wilson
Ryan Thomas vs. Ben Saunders

I'll be watching for sure from the comfort of a friends family room. I want to see the Evensen/Kongo fight, that will be good to.
GSP is going to wreck Jon Fitch. Although Jon fitch is probably one of the meanest looking fighters ever. I hope Florian wins, but it should be a pretty close match.

Then there is the Lesnar/Herring fight! OH THIS IS GONNA BE GOOD! There is going to be some smashing going on. I really hope this has a good amount of slugging and doesnt end quick to submission. I gotta go with Lesnar on this. Minnesotan all the way. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif Raw Strength.

PS My picks are in bold.

Kratz, you really need to catch up man. Huerta has had 3 fights since then. He has wins over Doug Evans, Alberto Crane, and Clay Guida since his April 7th '07 fight with Garcia.

The Guida vs Huerta fight was an awesome fight. Clay dominated the whole fight then got caught in a guilitine choke late in the 3rd.

I hope Fitch just destroys St. Pierre. I think he is the guy that could do it too.

I may be wrong but Lesner should crush Herring???

There any groups getting together to watch this thing? I'm bacheloring it on Saturday night and looking for something to do.

Come to Dez Moinz and we will get something going.

Yea, but he wrestled with Gophers /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif Thats good enough in my book.

and Im not sure, but the paper said Roger Huerta is a minnesotan too?

WOW that was an AWESOME fight card.

Kongo dominated.
GSP/Fitch was a good fight; gotta give major props to fitch, every round when he came back he looked fresh.
I cant believe Manny got dropped like that; specially off balance on 1 knee, that was a helleva punch.

Lesnar rolled Herring over backwards 1 punch and didnt let up. I'd put my DXT on Herring having trouble opening his swollen eyes in the morning, not mention the blood he will be pissing in the morning. Lesnar has some awesome wrestling and pure strength but he better pick up some BJJ to become more rounded. Looks like Lesnar carried some of his WWE crap over with him with the celebrating /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif Hopefully he doesnt keep that up.

Good to see I wasn't the only one who thought his celebrating was uncalled for. When he wins his 10th fight then maybe he can celebrate a little flamboyantly but not on his 2nd. He made himself look like a true ass.

The entire night was one great fight after another. A couple long hauls and a couple 1st round KO's. Only wish I could have seen some more of the under card matches.
