What a great night of fights...

I expected Congo to dominate but man, he laid into Al Turk like thee was no tomorrow.

Didn't see Rampage beating Silva... pretty sure Rampage made up for getting KO'd and falling out of the ring their last fight, Silva was snoring by the time he hit the mat. I especially loved those three hammer punches "just to make sure".

Dolloway has come a ways since the TV show but I wonder how this match would have gone had Massenzio not just curled up into a ball when CB took his back? Was a good fight.

Mir/Nog? What a surprise, Mir coming out like your standard boxer and picking big Nog apart? Brilliant! Hope Mir breaks Lesnars leg next time they meet.

How could you not see that. Rampage is a much more skilled fighter than he was the last time they met.

I loved seeing Evans knock the crap out of Griffin....can't wait to see the Rampage and Griffin rematch. Evans looked a little cocky in the match but answered everything Griffin had to offer.

I was surprised to see how good Mir looked on his feet. I didn't think Nog looked like himself at all. I hope Mir destoys Lesnar in the rematch.
The only thing I have to say about the Forest/Rashad fight is, I hate Rashad.
I think Rampage is a way better fighter than when he was in Pride and now that he is training with Bisping and is taking his training seriously, you can see a big difference in his boxing.
It was a pretty good card to end the year with. Can't wait for Franklin/Henderson next and onto GSP/Penn.

I have not been following UFC for that long to be honest and after watching Silva knock hell out of Jardine and Rampage not look so great the past match or two I was just surprised.

Rampage's attitude has changed, for the better, he's climbing again and hopefully he doesn't lose focus.

What is the big thing going on in his personal life that everyone was yacking about? Remember... I've been changing diapers more than watching TV the past few months. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

I got up at 5:00am this morning and skipped PT to watch the fights live from Egypt /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif I would have liked to see Griffin win and I can't wait till Mir and Lesnar.. I hope Mir kicks his arse!

After he lost to Forest he had a mental breakdown and had a couple of hit and runs and one lady in the wreck had a miscariage (turned out the wreck didn't cause it). He was arrested and his friends and family said something was really wrong with him so he stayed a few days in a mental institute. Not sure where the lawsuits with him are at.

Ahhh, bummer.

As far as Rashad goes, I wouldn't mind seeing him get KO'd in his next fight, though I think he'll retain that belt for awhile.

Some pretty good fights. I figured that Evans would bring it to Forrest, he looks better and better every time he fights and is gonna be tough to beat. Evans/Jackson fight is going to be a good one when they finally hook up, although if Evans uses his wrestling I don't see Rampage or anyone else at 205 that can keep up with him right now.

Nog looked old, out of shape and wore out before the fight with Mir started. Mir fought a good fight but you might as well have put a punching bag in front of him as much as Nog was moving. I hope the Lesnar/Mir rematch is as good as the hype will be.

Hey Muddy, you actually paid for the fight? That is the biggest shocker! /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Ouch Randy! /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/sleep.gif
Can't help that I was "taken advantage of" by a fine young upstanding lady who likes to dance! Wasn't my fault!/forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

The fight was full of upset specials.

WOW. Mir looked good and Big Nog was just not himself, didnt look good at all. And the Griffin/Evans fight, I hate Evans aswell.

Kongo looked excellent as he has the last few fights.

Cant wait for the GSP/Penn fight.

I read an interesting MMA write up this morning that discussed what to watch for in 2009. One thing that they mentioned that I would love to see is GSP vs. Anderson Silva @ 185. I know that their was talk about this last year but it seems as if it might happen in 09.
