Update - Trap Team

As some of you may have seen my last post about my school getting a Trap Team organized.... i have sum updates to make! We had our first meeting this morning and we learned about some of the sponsors and met some new people!

Our coaches have talked with many different stores about sponsors... so far we have the Issac Walton league for free practice. Pheasants Forever is going to give the team $500-$1000 for whatever materials we may need for the team, may it be vests, shells, etc, then we have walmart (i believe)... i think they are going to give the team a little bit of a discount on the shells we will be buying from them!

The coaches are talkin to a few more guys either today or tomorrow, but we have our first practice tomorrow at 5.

I just thought i would update you guys.. im pretty pumped about this and its gunna be awesome! Our first tournament is April 28 in Cedar Falls and the State Championship the weekend after the Cedar Falls shoot! Im sooo excited!

You might also want to make a trip up to Brownells in Montezuma. You guys arent far away, they have TONS of equipment, and they also have a nice new trap range and trap league.

I'm from the Oskaloosa High School!

I dont live far from brownells.... so maybe i could make a trip there! we could use all the help we can get here! The more stuff we get, the better we can be!

We had our first practice today and i did pretty bad as everyone was expected too! I did bad a 16 yds... but when we went to the 19 yd trap shoot.. i was nailin them! Practice makes perfect!! Every sunday at 5 until April 28.. the day of the shoot in Cedar Falls! Then if we are really serious about havin a trap team.. me and my athletic director are gunna go to the school board and get it approved!

Sounds like you have something going, if you need help with anything give me some info and I can go talk to Boyd's in Osceola. About a 10min drive for me.

Dave isnt the AD anymore! I believe last year? was his last year if i remember rite! yea i believe so anyways! Our new AD's name is Mr.Peterson! not sure of his first name but he talked to us at the beginning of the football season last year about responsibility and wat not! But any help would be AWESOME! We would like to get as much help from just about anyone... we are lookin for vests, shells, etc... we want to get the Oskaloosa High School Trap Team embroyered (sp?) on the vests to make us look a little more professional!

But if you would see if you could help us... that would be great and thank you soo much!!
