Using a real fan

Is the wingnut deal a pain in the butt? I can't find any picks of it on the net.

Using a real fan, you don't have to take the wingnut off each time- the fan holder deal slips between the decoy and a washer- you do have to crank the nut tight though. Yeah- I'm sure that will be the first thing I lose this year.

I was watching a turkey hunt with the Primos crew just this week. It may have been a B-mobile proto-type but they did something that was interesting. Unlike the Pretty-Boy, the B-Mobile has a "shelf" instead of a "slot" for the tail fan to be mounted to. The guys on the show took a real fan that had been mounted to a wooden dowel and simply poked it through a hole in the "shelf" of the B-Mobile. Seemed to work even better than the design they ended up with because it allowed the fan to shift slightly left and right in the breeze. Why couldn't a guy mount an arrow insert into the plastic fold up tail fan bracket and then use an old arrow to thread into it and then just poke it through the shelf and into the ground? May be easier than messing with the wing nut thing?
