Venison Stroganoff

I had put this in a thread a year or so ago- but i never posted pictures. It was absolutely AMAZING last night

I used a year old back strap that was vaccuum sealed- 1 full bag of egg noodles- 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup- one small sour cream- Garlic- hen of the woods mushrooms I found in the fall- garlic bread

You start out by slicing the meat pretty thin and chopping up about 2 cups of hen of the woods mushrooms (can use any mushroom)

sautee 2 tablespoons of minced garlic and add the meat to 1/2 and the mushrooms to the other half- only cook the meat until both sides are 3/4 brown- you still want the middle rare.

Once it is mostly brown you add both cans of cream of mushroom soup and lower heat to just warmer than simmer. cook on this heat until the egg noodles are done boiling (entire bag)

As soon as the Egg noodles are done boiling- you add the sour cream and stir until it is fully mixed in

Let simmer for a few minutes and then add the full amount of egg noodles and stir- (also have the garlic bread going at the same time)

Once fulled stirred- plate and we matched with a red whine. It was absolutely delicious
