Video Cameras

I was just wondering what would be a good simple beginner camera that isn't extremely expensive. Maybe not necessarily for filming hunts but like shed hunting, and what not. Any input would be great. Been looking at the kodak play sport but would like to see what else others have.

Thanks

If you're not concerned with low light capabilities, your options are pretty much endless. Seems now you can pick up a very nice handheld HD camcorder for under $500. Guess it just depends on how much you want to spend....

DOR: Is the Canon Vixia good in low light? Also, how are the zoom qualities?

What is the highest priced Vixia model (best overall) Thanks

I have the s10 its pretty good in low light. MF controls are poor though. ITs not a production cam, but does very well for hte price tag. Zoom is OK

I have a Canon HV20 i use to film my hunts. It not quite as good in low light as the high dollar cameras but has very good video quality. The HV20, 30, and 40 are HD cameras and at a very good price.
