I am looking at getting a set of these since I can get them for almost nothing (gift cards from work)... I am looking at Diamondbacks... anyone have these? Flaws with them? I currently have a set of Nikon Monarchs 8x42 I believe, and was hoping to either go with a 10x42 or 12x50... recommendations? Any help is greatly appreciated

I have the 10x42. I really like an 8 power for treestand i have decided, after go back and forth with 10x and 8x. I now carry my 8x42 monarchs always to the treestand. For this reason I would suggest the 12x to get to a totally different place with your addition and keep your monarchs for the tree. If you ever go west the extra power would be appreciated, I think.

Thanks for the input Ironwood! I actually am going to be going west next year so I think you just answered my question!! Thanks a ton guys for your quick responses!

I have the 12x50 diamondbacks! Very solid optics, and warranty is great! Can't beat the price either!

They are a good bino with a great warranty, but I actually prefer my brothers Zen Rays over the Vortex. Similar in price but I give the ZR's the nod in quality.

I borrowed my brothers pair when I went out west last month and they worked great, but when I got home and brought them in from the truck I dropped them on the porch and now I have two monoculars instead of binoculars, oops! I now call them "the Stan Potts edition" since you can look two different ways at the same time. Haven't talked to customer service yet but according to all the reviews I don't think they will have a problem with backing up the lifetime warranty.

I can attest to their warranty service. I have the 10x50s and love them! Broke an adjustable eyepiece on one side and I called them up two years after I broke it. They said send it on in we will take care of it. Well not only did they replace the broken piece but they replaced both eye reliefs. They also put on a new chest harness (mine was wearing out), and did a very fine detail job on them. They were 4 years old and looked branf new. No charge for anything.

A friend of mine dropped his and messed up the allignment. He sent them in and they sent him a brand new pair - no charge.

Can't go wrong with the warranty. I dropped my Viper HDs & bent an eye piece. They had them back to me in about a week good as new.
