Walnut buyers?

Who are the main walnut buyers in Iowa? Im not talking about your favorite logger.

Think the walnut tree Pablo Escobar. Direct exporters. Only a few I think. Not looking for middle men.

Be nice to know for purposes of selling a handful of really high quality trees a year that I cut myself.

loggers want to be in the middle so they can get their cut. hard to find a way around them

I will get a list together and get some names and numbers with their permission. Not as simple as it should be, the end buyers are different for the different grades. The end user that buys the Veneer buy cut logs not trees. Most projects will only have a small percent Veneer the rest will be sold as some type of grade to a mill that will saw it,they will sort it and resell the Veneer once they get a semi load or more. The buyers could have changed some since the tariffs this may change the amount of Veneer that is processed domestically versus export.
Good timing on this as the markets on Walnut seems to be strong again. I pulled my Skidder out and changing the oil then hauling to my farm to go after some I have waited on for the last 3-4 years.

Just a guess but I’d bet Kendrick in Edgewood is an exporter.
