Muddy,
It's easy to be a Yankees fan, I think they have won something like 25 Championships. It's hard to love a loser.

Cubs vs Boston would make great history.

Moosehunter,
I'll take 'em!

i was a yankee fan back when they sucked. my first ball cap when i was about 4 was a yankee cap. i've been enjoying the past 10 or so years!! granted, if the cubs made it i'd be happy if they won.

None of you can top the Lions & Tigers for gosh sakes. Talk about a couple of losers. At least we have the wings to cheer for.

We've got a little place "outback" that we keep mowed and trimmed. We got married out there a few years ago and the wife's son has had several frat "meetings" too. I got the wild idea to put all the extension cords I have together,(about 110 yards) take out a TV some nice chairs, bonfirewood and a few brews. Wife got home from work and thought it was a great idea, that is until it got dark. Then every Hickory nut that fell was some wild animal that was gonna get her. She finally got over it about the 6th inning or so. I passed...er...fell asleep in the 11th so mercifully I didn't have to see the last inning. Only problem for me is I have a tree stand about 30 yards from the area. I think it won't be fit to hunt for several weeks. We are gonna sit out there again tonight. I'll have her read about Ghost's Cougar. That should make it intresting.

I forgot to say the wife and I are huge Cubs fans. We watched it on TV and listened to it on KXIC 800AM radio. Its breaking my heart that Ronnie can't be there. Steve Stone is great, but you can't beat old number 10. Only problem with KXIC they preempt the Cubs for anything Hawkeye, even the worthless call in shows. They need to get their priorities right!!!!

Last nights Cubs game felt like hitting myself 100 times in the thumb with a hammer!

Hopefully they get their act back together tonight!

The only good thing that came out of the defeat, was that I get to pass down my broken heart down to my daughter. She was really depressed. You see, she was born in 19"84". Yes, Leon Durham, 1984.
Add on 1989, anyway,at least now I have someone to share it with, the next generation of broken hearted Cub fans.
