waterfowl hunting

how is the waterfowl hunting on public ground in SE iowa? Got some buddies that go to kansas every year and they say the hunting there is unreal compared to here in kentucky. About every 3 years we have a awesome year here. Past 2 years have been terriable. So this year should be a good one, with the duck populations up. We'll see. Any of you guys ever decide to come to western ky on a early wood duck hunt or regular season duck hunt let me know i'd be more than happy to take ya. or on a turkey hunt. We got some good turkey hunting on public land if the weather is right. Wish i could say the same about deer hunting but i wouldn't waste my time and effort on our public ground.

Duck hunting here in SE Iowa is hit and miss got to be here when the ducks are here. They wont stay long with all the Dang SKYBUSTERS around. I will say I had a lot of good days last year wasnt too bad. Nothing to brag about on Iowawaterfowlers or nothing. Smoked the geese last year though. I see duck numbers are up so hopefully it will be worth the time to go. Goodluck.
