I'm coming to Benton county for the Dec 2-6 hunt. What kind of weather can we expect, highs/lows, etc? Thanks for your help.
 
If I remember correctly??? The high in NE iowa was 3 Degrees on opener last year. So bring you warm warm gear. Could just as easily be 45 degrees.

Look at average temps on weather.com for December. This will give you a more precise answer. Have Fun

Last year it was cold and plenty of snow. I don't remember the temps but...well, cold enough for snow!

I'm not real sure anyone can give you an anwswer to that.

We have had 1st gun seasons you could hunt in a t-shirt and ones you froze your butt off with deep snow.

Last year it was about 25 degrees with fresh snow. The year before it was very mild.

Last years first gun season was well below zero, taking account the wind chill. I wore about everything I owned and was still cold. Just bring lots and lots of layers!
