Weather not slowing them

Most action I have seen in the stand all year. The peak is here. I am just pissed I had to leave early for work

I had about 7 deer hang around my stand last night for about 2 hours. One buck was a small eight while the rest were does. Pretty slow this morning with only a few deer off in the distance.

I think from everything that I have seen and the people that I talk to that there are a few spots that are real hot but the majority of areas are slow to nil. I had 14 does and fawns in the field in front of me for over an hour with no Bucks in site.

Same Story here. Fortunatly for me one of the does got a little too close!!

I have been seeing a few smaller bucks however the mature bucks have slowed way down since last Friday. The change in the weather this week will greatly help!

I have to agree that the weather isn't having a terrible affect on them. On my drive to and from work the last two days and today on my lunch break I saw 4 bucks in the 140" class or better, and the one today (which I saw at 11:40) was just a brute of a non-typical. He was following a doe through a corn field and she guided him to a draw where he chased her for a bit. I sat and watched for as long as I could but had to get backed to work

I took work off yesterday and saw 12 bucks from my stand by 10:30. Most came within shooting range, but none were the one I was waiting for. Most came in to rattling. Only saw 3 small bucks in the afternoon.

Bumped a 140 class or better deer this morning in the dark walking in that I seen the last two weekends not 40 yds from my stand.Then had one dink buck at 7:30 am and another at about 8:30 am and a doe at 11:00 am that did not present a shot.No other deer after that and sat till dark.Be back at it in the morning.

Everything I have read in this post is true to my knowledge. I have seen everything from all out chasing this week to there being does who still are bunched up and act like nothing is happening. I would guess that by this weekend it will be flat out crazy! Boy am I glad I am on vacation the rest of this week! Although my buddy and I drove through south eastern monroe county the other day and saw at least three really great buck including one that would easily go into the 160" class in less then 20 minutes. So things seem to really be in swing in high deer density areas. Then we waved at all the out of state lease and outfitter hunters and drove back to our pathetic excuse for deer hunting ground. Ha, Ha... when I win the lottery they will all be mine!!!!!!
