Got this pic the other day. Not real sure waht it is I'm looking at. Any idea's ?

With the swollen neck, it looks like the human condition known as goiter, a thyroid condition. Goiter in humans is also manifested by poor hair condition. Not sure if deer can suffer from the condition. A swollen neck might also reflect a chronic infection, with the lymph glands becoming enlarged. I'm not a real doctor though, I just play one on IowaWhitetail (and I played one when I was much, much younger).

Injured neck produces a fatty puss tumour, actually more like a boil!!

Actually goiter is an iodine deficiency. Could be an infection from swallowing a thorn or something. I've seen cattle and sheep with this. Lumpjaw. Shredder is the real Doctor.
