Yea well just be glad you were getting ready to go track a deer you shot last night...

The alarm went off and I was thinking about heading out to hunt when I see lightning. I rolled over in bed!!!

This reminds me of going hunting after the Iowa vs. LSU game last year. I quickly headed out to hunt at the conclusion of the game. As I got to my stand, it started to drizzle, then rain, then pour. I called the hunt when it started to lightning. Deja Vu?????

I at least got up and looked at the radar...then went back to bed!! Tomorrow morning looks a whole lot better!

Well after it quit lightning I went out for about an hour and half and seen 2 does. I plan on still going out this afternoon.

I'll be out this afternoon also, I didn't feel like getting poured on this morning though. This same thing happened late season in 2001 only it was about 60+ degrees believe it or not.

I'll tell ya if someone kills a hog in this weather they will be doing good. I had a good hunt last night though so all is not lost, no bucks but it was fun.

Glad I wasnt the only one who "wussed out" this morning. On the positive side, that rain finally melted most of the damn crunchy snow. Quite a few deer moving this evening, just nothing exciting. A buddy of mine missed a decent 8 point right at dark.

We just cant seem to catch a break this year with the weather, still no cold in the forcast. After 3 years of so-so weather, I am seriously thinking of going back to early ML next year. At least I would be warm while watching does!

Fresh mole hills in the yard this AM. In a part of the yard that has never had moles in it before. Damn things. You'd think with all the cats I have to put up with at least one would be a moler.

A few years ago Rack and I were hunting in Iowa after an all night snow storm. There was about 6 inches of fresh snow and it was cloudy. We got to the timber and a big old clap of thunder rang out. That thunder must have rolled on for about 30 seconds as we just stood there wondering what the heck is going on?!!!!
