I have a stand on a small finger with a great pinch point that is a perfect setup for a N and NW wind. Perfect for cruising bucks scent checking the south side of a block of timber that I hunt. It is surrounded by corn and by the looks of it and from what farmers are saying there is no way the corn will be out until late November. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif
My question is has anybody thought of knocking down a couple shooting lanes in the corn? not knocking them down to the point where the corn cannot be harvested but just so the 15-20 yard shot to the timber edge is achievable? I have a very limited area to hunt so this is one of only a few stands that I have access to.
Just a thought and I wanted to hear other opinions.
