What to do??

Still holding State wide tag. Bitterly cold in Western Iowa, 15-20 mph winds. Hunt this evening or watch Hawkeys. Hmmm. Can hunt Sat/Sunday. Little warmer tomorrow. Whats a guy to do.

I'll be getting out right about game time. I love the hawks, but quick internet updates are just fine by me! I'd rather have the chance to shoot a deer than watch football.

I've skipped a lot of hunts due to warm weather but I've never skipped a Hunt cause it was to cold.

Rule #1 can't kill a deer if your sitting in the couch! I've killed numerous deer after a slight warm up after a slight cold snap. Do they move better in the cold? Yes they do. But right now is the best time to kill a good one in my opinion. They are searching for the last hot doe. So if you have reservations about hunting right now you might want to reconsider

Saw a nice buck locked up with a doe, fifty yards off the highway...Scott county. I was in the process of moving and not hunting, unfortunately.

WELL SAID! I myself like the cold breezy days. Best days to get together with a good one. IMHO. I will skip the warmer days with light and variable winds long before a cold snap with strong northerly wind.
