I was out in the field today doin a little sprayin (like I do anything else this time of year) and saw something for the first time.
To start I will tell you right now I am seeing a ton of fawn and also a ton of coyotes and niether one are scared of a Ro Gator. Today I was spraying a field and a doe stood up and watched me go by at about 20 foot. So there is a little one somewhere close, so I keep that in mind and watch alittle closer. On the next pass, laying in a cat like position, is a coyote. So I thought this could get interesting and backed into the corner of the field and watched.
The ole nanny would run the coyote off, and at times stand on her back legs and kick at him. Then from about 7 rows of corn from where the fawn was laying (I didn't know at the time) another coyote stood up, ran and grabbed the little one and off he went with it, all the while mama was still chasing the other one. Clever little dogs they are.
So my question is, would you just sit back and watch like I did, and let nature take it's course, or would you have tried to stop that from occurring? I just choose to sit back and let mother nature take course, no matter how cruel it can be.
By the way, when I get time, I have a ton of fawns, mature deer, coyotes and fox pictures from the last few weeks, some pretty interesting.
