So when the big buck or bull you get is confiscated you're gonna suck it up and not complain about it right?

[/ QUOTE ]

Orrr, when a CO checks you and finds your side weapon. Your not going to be upset when you have to pay a fine, get thrown in the clink or lose your hunting privilages(all depends on what their fines are)...Right?

Your replies are appreciated. I think that the whole picture changes when you bring your wife/woman into the wilderness. If I was going with a guy/guys than I would not probably feel the need to carry a sidearm. Thanks again for posting your views.

I would abide by the law and go bowhunting without the sidearm. when my wife and children are with me I am setting an example to them and that example will be to follow the rules, Not to scoff at them, If that is the example I set for them how can I expect them to be honest hunters in the future? I try to teach my family to be ethical and always act as though someone may be watching what they are doing, whether it is me, or law enforcement or even another hunter. Why should we consider inviting problems for ourselves on purpose by doing something we already know is not legal?

One last question for the ones that say they wouldn't carry; Will you ever go on a wilderness mountain bow hunt in your lifetime with your wife? I just wonder if it is a little easier to make the claims that you would never carry as you will never go anyway. Very few people have ever or will ever hunt in the wilderness with their wife. Food for thought.
For those that say they wouldn't carry on a hunt with their wife, please post the pics from your hunt as I love mountain scenery.

What you really have to ask yourself is...Are those that your taking on this hunt, can they and are they ready for all of the elemants that type of hunt are going to throw at you. Of which includes defending themselves against man or animal. Then YOU decide if they should be going.

Am I anti-gun, in certain situations you damn right I am.

Do I have a loaded gun in my house, Nope. Do I have plenty of them, yep....

Let me answer this, have you ever been somewhere in the world, where you are the hunted? Didnt think so, have I. You damn right I have and trust me even some of these people should not be allowed to carry guns.

As far as doing my research it was done before I replied to your 98% majority which is a joke because you poled about 50 people because most of the people are just replying more then once.

There was more then just 3 people that disagreed with you was the point that I was making so your 98% majority was a little off.

Like I said if you want to go off of what movies and 50 people would do, then that is your choice.

Also like I said and it is bold and harsh, but if someone wants you dead, you will be dead, plus then they have free rain on your family.
Most people buckle under tense situations and all they do is freeze.

So does the people you are taking with you have the mind set to take matters into their own hands if they see a loved one or friend get hurt?

I would bet money they would freeze and what is that gun going to help them with because they will be in shock.

Anyone can say they would be able to, but when [censored] hits the fan could they?

There will never be getting through to you because your opinion is what it is and mine is what it is.

Which that is great about the 1st Amendment.

I know you are a lost cause, but thanks for confirming that for me

Good luck on your quest of illegally taking a animal in a bow only zone

A guy on AT just informed me that in CO you can openly carry while bowhunting. This was my reply,"My wife and I do carry openly while in CO elk hunting as it wouldn't do you much good in a pack. We just assumed it was illegal, but were afraid to ask as we planned on carrying anyway, didn't want to draw attention to ourselves with the question, and couldn't find it in the regs. I just called Durango DNR where we hunt nearby and they confirmed what you stated. Worrying about legal carrying over nothing. Thanks again."

For somebody who is trying to get their name in the hunting video industry, you have really put a bad taste in the mouths of your possible clients lately with your posts. First the whole poaching of the rabbits and squirrels, now openly admitting that you would break the law.
I'll be the first to say that if (and it's a long shot) you do get your videos up and running, you'll never get any of my money!

1st off, no poaching of squirrels or rabbits. All shot in season. Secondly, the 2nd amendment allows me to carry while hunting in the wilderness. Accusing someone of something is slander and liable. You are the one breaking the law. Your $$, I don't want it or need it. Amazing how jealousy of my hunting business is ALWAYS brought up by the same people on here.
A disclaimer will be on my DVD's that states:

Disclaimer: Most participates in this video will probably be carrying a sidearm to protect themselves against crackheads, meth cookers, rapists, murderers, or shady individuals while bowhunting, whether legal or not in the state that they are in. The participates believe in the 2nd amendment and their right to bear arms. All hunting is done with archery equipment only. Squirrels and rabbits are shot too with archery equipment. If this bothers you then we suggest that you don't buy this video. End of Disclaimer

Also,
I read your post on AT again and noticed that someone is already doing the work that I am doing on this site and I will let him do his thing

Also pretty funny to me that you didnt thing of all your situations you could run into when the one gentleman stated when the odds are against you what would you do?

Your reply "Good Point, never thought of that"

Key point, you can never think of every situation and guess what happens then if you are out numbered and caught carrying. They take your weapons, tie you up, and still take what they want from your wife and son.

Good luck with your hunts in the future.

Slander/liable? Oh boy...here we go.

That 2nd amendment right doesn't allow you to carry that handgun during the bow season in MN.

No slander has to defame your character so, learned that off of Judge Judy

Why we are talking about Amendments, I just expressed my first amendment right

No one has done that here.........yet.

Oh yeah, I forgot, your son messed with the date on the camera....blah blah BS! I know you don't need my money. You've made it clear to everyone how much money you have by mentioning everytime you buy a new piece of hunting equipment.

Now, now just remember just because someone buys a lot of stuff doesnt mean they have money, just means they have good credit.

Who ever said we were jealous? There you go again trying to predict what we are thinking.

Arguing on the internet is pointless. The subject that keeps being brought up has been dealt with and as a moderator I'd hope that everyone here is mature enough to QUIT DRAGGING THE SUBJECT BACK UP. If you don't have anything to add regarding the subject of this post then leave it OUT.

There are posting guidelines, they go for everyone on the site regardless if they go with the flow or like to play devils advocate.

If you have a problem then PM a moderator of administrator and the problem will be dealt with.

If that is too much to do then simply hit "Ignor User" on that persons profile or else ignore the post in general. Mud slinging should be kept in politics, not on our hunting forums.

Thanks.
