I added a disclaimer that will probably be on my DVD's onto my last post.
I feel that this thread was enlightening as to how the VAST MAJORITY of bowhunters feel regarding carrying a sidearm while hunting. I know that all of my friends that don't frequent forums have the same belief I do. As far as negative comments unrelated to the topic, there are always these handful of jealous people that do not like successful people or people that are not afraid to speak their minds and stand up for their beliefs. It has always been that way in history and sadly, things will never change. Makes me think of Don Higgens' book,"Hunting Trophy Whitetails in the Real World." He was accused by jealous people that he had taken his big deer illegally and it led to a big investigation for him. He said that jealousy was the root of his haters.

One last question for the ones that say they wouldn't carry; Will you ever go on a wilderness mountain bow hunt in your lifetime with your wife? I just wonder if it is a little easier to make the claims that you would never carry as you will never go anyway. Very few people have ever or will ever hunt in the wilderness with their wife. Food for thought.
For those that say they wouldn't carry on a hunt with their wife, please post the pics from your hunt as I love mountain scenery.

Yes I will, hopefully in the next few years. I also take her to the bars with me where there are drunk crazy people everywhere, but I don't take a gun. Put it this way, if I ran into a crazy out in the mountain, them packing gun or not, I will do all I can do until Me or him one is dead, and if he is messin with my wife, pretty sure I will be the one standing over them sayin "shouldn't done that."
