A Kansas hunting license is required for all seasons, unless exempt by Kansas law. All firearms deer hunters and persons assisting them must wear blaze orange .

Annual Hunting License - All annual hunting licenses can be purchased online by clicking here or through all licensed agents, or Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks offices.

# Muzzleloader Either-species/Either-sex Deer Permit (available over the counter) $32.50 general resident, $17.50 resident landowner, $17.50 all tenants – Valid for hunting antlered or antlerless white-tailed or mule deer during muzzleloader-only and firearm seasons in the east unit (3,4,5,7,16) or the west unit (1,2,17,18) using muzzleloading equipment only.

A federal duck stamp also is required by federal regulations for hunting waterfowl and a Migratory Bird Hunting Permit is required by state regulations for hunting waterfowl, doves, snipe, woodcock and rails. $19.00
Resident Fishing Permit
For fish, frogs, mussels, clams, turtles, crayfish, and live bait. $12.00
Resident Small Game Hunting Permit*
For frogs, birds (except turkey), mammals (except deer), and frogs, and to sell furbearers taken by hunting. Resident Fur Handler’s Permit
For possessing, processing, transporting and shipping legally taken pelts of furbearers from February 16 through June 1. Must also have resident hunting or trapping permit to take furbearers or be exempt. Only pelts taken by the permit holder may be possessed. Pelts sold within Missouri to a fur dealer or buyer must be fleshed, stretched and dried. Date Change! Valid until June 30, 2009. $10.00
