When do the new antlers start growing?

Looking for some input on this. I've heard as soon as they fall off but I dont ever notice any very early.
Heres a few of my thoughts:

Is it tied to the moon?
Is it weather temps?
Is it when winter stress is over and they can put energy back into growing bone?

Guess I heard the same, but don't ever remember seeing anything until June or July.

I've seen them growing while turkey hunting, but I can't remember if it was April or May.

It is the length of daylight hours that trigger it. Usually the middle of May roughly.

I saw two bucks last year while turkey hunting the first week of may that were already split at the brow tines.

I have seen them with noticeable growth during the first week of turkey hunting, usually just big stumps, that is about it. I also one towards the end of may that was a stud with multiple points, I have also seen them during 3rd season with antlers still on their heads.
