Where To Place The Trail Camera?

I just went out to get my trail camera. I got a few pictures of some 8 points but nothing big. I had it in the timber along the edge of a corn field. I was wondering where the rest of you have been putting your cameras and if you were having any luck? I don't know if a pasture would work better or just a bean field?

Is it just me or based on body size...is that a 1.5 year old buck? Either way, 1.5 or 2.5, great potential and nice pic.

To answer the question, about anywhere is as good of guess. some of my apples are ripening now, some acorns are hitting the ground, some corn is getting big, yet still soft ears, and the beans are nice and tender. With the onset of the newest rain, a lot of food has come available and leaves them less patternable in my opinion.

Erik,
We've got our cams out everywhere. A couple set up on trails some along field edges getting lots of pics but like Shredder said lots to eat right now and tough to pattern.

This time of the year, my favorite is old mineral lick sites. Water holes will also work. Other than that it can be very hit and miss. Good luck and share the big boys!
