Where were you

I was at work when it happened, we were not supposed to have tv's at work but all of a sudden a couple showed up and we watched as everything unfolded. By the time we got off work gas had shot to 3.50 a gallon. We too seen AF1 fly over that day.

9/11 ranks right up there with Reagan getting shot and the Space Shuttle exploding as far as remembering exactly what you were doing on that day. It just seems to ingrain in your memory. I just dated myself to those that were in high school when 9/11 happened!

I'm with you, Brother! I was getting out of the shower and getting ready to head to work. I missed the impacts, but stood there watching the towers fall with my wife. You never forget that sick-to-your stomach feeling. I had to go do rare plant surveys the next day and it was a LONG day in the southern AZ heat, especially since the tech helping me was a complete pacifist. While I admit to my left-of-center tendencies, I'm FAR from a pacifist. I'll also never forget the sound of my mom's voice that day as she knew what I was contemplating for my future.

Blew off work taped it for wife to watch with co workers . Still can see that second plane hit the 2nd tower.Seems like just yesterday. Makes me mad as hell every time I watch it.Im older with a family about tossed that to the wind and upped that day .

I remember I was on my hour and a half commute to work in my old work car with the windows down and the sun shining bright. It almost seemed like too perfect of a day for anything evil to take place. I was listening to Bob & Tom when the story came on the radio. It was being broadcast as an accidental hit to the tower. When I got to work we turned on the TV and watched in horror as the second plane hit. I also watched that afternoon as Air force One flew over South Central Iowa, wings tipped with fighter jets. I will never forget how blue and empty the sky looked with just one set of jet-trails in the sky, almost as if the whole world was standing still. I will never forget.....
