Whos gunna be the first to chime in on a youth hunt?? anyone down a bird yet. Had to be tough hunting this morning?

When I was on my way to work today (the ran had stopped) I kept thinking how awesome it would be to have a gobbler come sneaking in through the fog (we had dense fog here for a bit). Can't wait to hear the stories and see some pics

I was wondering the same thing gundog. I keep checking back here about every 1/2 hour to see who's first.

My hunting partners 7yr old took his first bird last night at about 5:00. He put on a sneek down a river bottom and came up over the bank at about 10 yards.
Not exactly text book but the young fella was hooked for life I'm sure.

skrek - that is amazing for someone that old to have the knowledge and patience to put on a sneek, congrats to that kid!

My 9 year old took his first Jake the last night of youth and i am sure he is hooked for life.
