Wicked Tough Saw review

I've used about 4 or 5 different types of hand saws and today was completely floored by the Wicked Tough Saw. All the BS aside from the peanut gallery complaints this saw is FANTASTIC.

Got mine today and used it on some limbs behind the house and was very impressed. Ergonomically comfortable and I think you could drive nails with it because I don't see an ounce of plastic on it anywhere. Todd, seriously, you hit the ball way out of the park on this one. :way:

Gerber, Hooeyman, Silky, etc don't compare at all.

Wow guys, thanks SO MUCH! You have no idea how nice it is to hear these reviews after all the time, energy, and money it takes to do this stuff. Honestly, more than anything it's cool to know that I'm helping make the worst job in the world a little less painful! Thanks a ton!

Took mine down to the timber this afternoon to do some serious tree trimming. Had no problems with it. Prob try putting it on a pole to get the branches that are a little higher. Duct tape

All in all it was well worth the money and it will be packed with me on every sit this fall.

Got back from vacation in Colorado last night and my saw was waiting for me. Took it out this morning for a quick try. Very well built saw. User friendly to boot and cuts well. This one is worth the money. Don't be afraid to order this saw. When I saw the footage of Todd using it like a machete I thought, yeah right, but this thing is heavy enough to use that way.

Great product Todd. This saw should really raise the bar....can't wait to see the pole saw when you get around to it.

Just got my saw over the weekend and all I can say is this
thing rips!! Super sturdy, comfortable, all metal!
Nice work Todd! Great saw for the price. I cant wait to see the
pole saw in the future!

Thanks guys! Keep the reviews coming. I've been shipping a pile of saws everyday so more guys should be getting them daily! I will probably sell out in the next 2 weeks though - so if you really want one, don't wait to order. Will have more saws early September.

I would love to have one, but I think I will wait for the pole saw. Just dropped the big bucks on the hooyman a year ago and having a 5 foot saw that fits in the backpack is a must. I hope your pole saw will be designed the same way, to collapse that small.

I am thinking about machining a piece to adapt the wicked tough saw to a Hooyman pole... preliminary design done, just trying to figure out how to make the clip work.... if I can't get it figured out then duct tape it is.. :D

He he he.... Whatever it takes I guess. I use a 21 foot Silky pole saw, and a custom built pruner for running and gunning. That other saw wouldn't last 15 minutes in the woods with me.

I will have a unique design coming out in the next year. That's all I can say at the moment!

Jboswell, let's see some pictures when you have a prototype!

I got mine in the mail and could immediately feel the strong design but just for fun I took my old saw along for while hanging stands to get a comparison on sharpness. I'm pleased to say that the Wicked Saw was definately sharper and easier to use! Great Product!:way:

Now Tood, when are you going to make some racheting pruners? I can't seem to make it through a season without breaking a set of those! Heck I'm sure pruners made by Wicked would have the strength should OneCam once again ask to borrow my pruners to cut a barbed wire fence. The cheap pair never really functioned well after that. True story!:D

Thanks again Todd!

There are a few good pruners out there, and I have no intension of making any / selling any. With the Wicked saw, you don't really need pruners. Just whack the small stuff down with the saw - done! he he

I'm very much looking forward to reaping the benefits of Bowman's Wicked Saw and the lanes he's cleared for me! :D

Very few things are "Lane Proof"!

Great saw. Finally got to mess with mine after getting it the day before I went to Des Moines for a wedding. Took it out while checking trail cameras and it definitely raises the bar as far as saws are concerned. Durable, sharp, and tough. Works great.

Wayne,..... check out Treehopper.com I have a pair of ratchet pruners I got from them over 10 years ago... still going strong (Haven't tried cutting barbed wire though :D )...... I will definately be checking out Todd's saw and any other equipment he comes out with at the Iowa Deer Classic in the Spring.... just finished trimming all the stand sites over the weekend. :way:
