Wild Art Taxidermy

Does anyone on here have any experience with Wild Art Taxidermy just north of Boone? The wife of a buddy of mine just called me, Bob Shaffer, of Wild Art Taxidermy, has had 2 deer of there’s for 2 years and has now gone radio silent.

At this point, they just want their deer back. Any tips or suggestions?

I know nothing about the taxi mentioned, but I once upon a time lost a head to a taxidermist. He too went radio silent after a while and he had that head for a year plus at the time. So I then stopped by and knocked on the door, etc, and learned that he had moved some time earlier and no one knew where he was, etc. Long story short...I would aggressively work to get the heads back and take them elsewhere if it were me. Good luck!

Last time I’ve heard of this happening I know the State Patrol and DNR got involved. Honestly wouldn’t be bad to call the DNR and run it past them

This is a shame! As a retired taxidermist of 33 years…… folks do your homework before bringing a deer anywhere!!!!
It’s that easy so you don’t end up in a situation like this!
I hope this works out for your friend

Had this happen with a taxi in Iowa about 20 years ago. He went radio silent and had my deer for 2+ years. I finally got the local CO involved and he paid him a visit. A bunch of fines for the taxi for not having tags, etc ensued and I got my antlers and cape back.

Coward didn’t even have the guts to give the deer back to me himself, his wife delivered it. I told her to give him a nice message from me
