Our dove season opened yesterday and I had hopes of making it out but rain all morning kept me in. With just a light sprinkle at home this morning and the radar showing nothing where I hunt, I headed out at first light.
I was set up on a row of bales and put the decoys on the far end of the row, about 15 yards away. It wasn't long before they were coming in and the shooting and reloading was fast and furious.:way: Then the wind came up to about 35 mph gusts and the birds quit flying.
All in all a great little outing and three doves for the pot. My first with a flintlock.:way:
