I just got off the phone with a good friend of mine that hunts coyote with me in NY and he was talking to a DNR officer and had pictures of this and know a few officers that he knew personally that had checked this coyote out. So to speak, this is the real thing.

The total count as of right now with the gang is 21 as of today, biggest so far is 54.

ALASKAN

My bro. alaskanwhtl seems alittle gullible. I dont buy it.

look at the face, and the coat. there isn't much coyote in that. looks like maybe 1/4 wolf cross with a dog. i have seen other pics, of both dog and deer in a truck bed, i don't think its a photoshop scam.....just a big-ass dog

Here's the poop on this pic. You can check it out for yourself here: http://www.outdoorsniagara.com/hunting.htm#HERE (click the link then scroll up on the page until you find the pic)

NYS RECORD COYOTE STORY IS FALSE!
HERE'S THE REAL STORY!
From
Robert Sanford
Wildlife Biologist
The photograph has been very widely circulated on the internet, and
there is a great deal of confusion about this animal. Upon checking this story out,
Here are the
facts:

This is not an Eastern coyote. It is a hybrid animal (suspected
wolf-dog) that weighed 105 pounds. It was a neutered male. This means
the animal was a captive animal, and released either intentionally or
accidentally by the owner. We do not know who the owner was. This animal
was taken in Pennsylvania, not New York.

On the lower right is the original story that has been circulating!
HERE IS THE ORIGINAL STORY CIRCULATING ON THE INTERNET ABOUT THAT WOLFDOG!
N.Y.S. D.E.C. game commission officer Bob Doe confirmed that this was indeed a new New York state record coyote Its official weight was 115 pounds, it is a very large male and was shot during the regular deer season just out side the town of Hilton. It has been spotted on several different occasions chasing deer, live stock, dogs and cats.
