Your pre-season diet

How many of you alter your diet to reduce body odor prior to the season?
I read in another post that someone has a friend who will stop eating meat one month before season to reduce the prdator scent his body gives off. I have a bow hunting buddy who does the same. He swears it works, I think it's a bit extreme. Though, I will admit that I lay off Cagin food, egg salad and chilli but only for the obvious reason.

Curious how many of you go to the extreme or alter your diet in any way? Or do you just lay off some foods cuz ya wana stop floating biscuits out of your tree.

i do not alter what i eat in any way. i have scent spray and supprescent clothing and hunt the wind. a human smells like a human whether he smells like a meat eating human or a vegetarian human. i do lay off onions and such things that make me fart a lot though, which is more than i can say for deadeye and his dad. i swear sometimes that it sounds like a buck grunting when he rips them off.

other than that the only thing i really change during hunting season is i start to shower regularly rather than once a month or so.

Man no egg salad!!! thats what i practically live off of during deer season. somebody once told me you cant get em if you dont break the wind a couple of times. ive never worried about what i eat or scent for that matter lol, well except play the wind the best that i can. I would worry about scent a little more, but i know way too many guys that dont worry about it and shoot more big bucks than i could dream of in a season. so im sure that im one of the few on the site that doesnt worry about scent

I actually like to load up on beans, eggs, etc. before the hunt. That way I can add to my repertoire of buck grunts and doe bleats!

LIV4RUT, I would'nt let loose any egg salad in your scentloc. When you float the covers it could make eyes water and you would'nt be able to see through your pep sight, come on, think about it!

Where is Central Iowa when you need him? I think he has some insight on this subject. Not sure if his dump was green (I don't remember eatin' any CORN!) but I know he uses something in this manner.

Rudd, is that an austin powers quote? "bad enough to choke a maggot, even stink would say that stinks!"

All4s, thats why i dont buy scentloc, that just may happen, the smellier the better, those big boys think there is a new boy in the woods, and all come to check out the aroma

if you eat enough egg salad, your stink can actually fool a whitetails nose, sure cant smell my scent over the egg salads, just bad when the crows start circling overhead

well the way i figure it is this: people freshen up deer scrapes with wizz - wizz is wizz right. crap is crap - so i gotta let one I ripp it. figure if you call in a buck all the better.

true enough, you killed your big ol buck not too far from your "emergency gut wrenching pile" if i remember correctly.

yepper - probably a hundred yards away. within a week dad missed an even bigger one from the same stand.

maybe you should freeze dry that dook of yours and sell it as a whitetail attractant? with all the "crap" they sell anymoer i'm sure you could sell one or two bags.

"don't put it out with your boot ted"

"don't tell me my business devil woman"

oh, great movie.
