Zone 4 / Truro area / anyone familiar?

I got an invitation to hunt a friends farm in Truro. She (the owner) knows nothing about deer hunting and I have never been to Iowa. Is anyone familiar with the area. Looking at the map, it appears to be about 40 min. south of Des Moines on 35, between Indianola and Osceola.

Anyone Familiar with the area? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I live in New Virginia and Truro is about ten miles from me. It has plenty of friendly people. The land is soft rolling hills with plenty of big tree plots and feed plots. There is some nice bucks in that area. I drive I-35 home from work. And just yesterday counted probably 50 deer from St. Charles to New Virginia exit. Plenty of deer there.

You should have no problem filling your tags in that area. I personally know of two very nice bucks taken over the past few years around there also.
Kind of ironic though. I've wanted to bow hunt Michigan for years and you want to come to Iowa. Good Luck and don't forget your orange.
