Get something and shine that thing up a little. My willow has leaves on yet and the does are checking it out but no bucks showing interest yet. Early.

I will start putting a few bushy willows in the ground on my feeding areas, 3rd week of august to get some velvet stripping pics.

Cedars have become my top choice. Mine will definitely go in this month, in the next week or two.

Tried something new just as a fun experiment - Got a post hole digger- took an untreated cedar 4X4 - bolted on a 2X4 section to the top and put it in my food plot. Tied and screwed some uncoated hemp rope to each end and created a mock scrape under the rope. Put buck pee on the rope- ground and post. And stuck a Stealth Cam DS4K near by on video mode on a wooden steak I put in the ground. TBD on how the action is......

I went and checked my camera over my test - not sure how to upload a trail camera video on here. But small bucks have been rubbing the post every day and lots of deer liking the rope.

    overall a great success
