    Broadhead issues

The diameter of those 2 arrows is significantly different. If you nock is 90 degrees with the gold tips the vaps would be closer to 1/4" nock high causing the broadhead to plain. That could be a lot of the problem. If it shoots the gold tips I'd stick with those this year. Sent from my...

    Reveal cam

Yes the battery will last longer for sure. Way less thinking for the camera. Also I believe you can buy an adapter plug for that HME so its compatible with the Reveal. Pretty sure they're cheap on Amazon. I saw it somewhere where guys were doing it. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

    Reveal cam

Correct they will only send one of the pics in the series. I always run cell cams on zero delay and one picture. Also if you set it to dump every 12 or 24 hours you will have a faster recovery and more pictures. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

    Dual cam vs single

Dual cam hands down. Lateral nock travel. Easier to stay in time. Single cam is gonna have a 80" string roughly. Dual is 35" roughly. Which is gonna stretch more? When a single cam stretches your neck point moves up/down. Not good. When a binary stretches nock should stay level for the...

    Midwest Whitetail

I believe he still plans on doing the show and he should be on some good deer this fall. He's got a nice lease up here. Not sure if he found a farm to buy yet though. He's from Allamakee County and has wanted to return for awhile now I've heard.

    Drill/Seeder question

Quick update. Super super dry up here but the plot is filling in nicely. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

Arrow length compared to draw length?

I like to cut them flush with riser. If you are putting 100gr inserts in that will definitely change the spine of your arrow. Cutting it short will help or bump up a spine. If your arrows are long just cut the shaft shorter and put new inserts in. I've seen heat damage the shaft more times...

    Drill/Seeder question

Planted 2 weeks ago and finally got wet 4 days ago so I went and checked it out today. Overall I'd say success. There is spots where uneven ground didn't allow drill to cut and drop seed. But for the most part it's all coming up. Released a few weeds too but hopefully they will get choked...

    Drill/Seeder question

Well we gave it a whirl. We'll see how it goes. I'm worried the seed may be too deep but it's pretty hard to control in uneven ground with this drill. Worst case I'll seed some rye into it in a month. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

    Drill/Seeder question

They do have a formula if I turn the cultipacker x amount of times and multiply by x then it will tell me how many lbs I'm running per acre. I figured I'd start at lowest setting and go over twice if I have too. I think I'll try drilling it and go back in sept and seed rye if theres a...

    Drill/Seeder question

Never thought of that but I may try it. I'm also worried about any side hills and the seed running to one side. This may cure all of that. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

    Drill/Seeder question

I have the opportunity to use one of these drills for my fall plots. I have no experience with one at all. You can run it like a true drill or move the hoses to the pan and it will broadcast in front of the cultipacker. I will be planting mainly turnips/brassica/radish. My plots are sprayed...

    .22 pistol recommendations?

I sell a lot of Ruger SR22s. They eat anything which is very important in a 22 semi auto. Very safe too. Great safety and a decocker. Small frame that fits w small hand well

    Switchgrass/Bedding question

This was also an option. And I may carve out a few pockets inside of it and try just that. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

    Switchgrass/Bedding question

I had thought the same thing on clover trails. The beauty of owning ground is if you dont like something you can change it. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

    Switchgrass/Bedding question

On the N side of my property I've got 5 acres of overgrown pasture (possibly farmed years ago). I plan on putting around 2 acres of it into green plots and the remaining 3 acres I'm thinking switchgrass. Something where the deer can escape too and would really screen and make them feel safe in...

    Chestnuts

My 1st addition to the new farm was 10 chestnuts and 10 persimmons. Got hooked up with a guy from WI that sells them. Hopefully this can be an annual thing thru my shop. He sells them in bundles of 10 and it includes tubes, weed mats, stakes, and fertilizer. I'm a newbie so hopefully these...

    2018 Farm Bill

Am I correct that you have to own the ground for 12 months before enrolling into crp? I just purchased a property in Sept. I've got 31 acres currently rented for crops. It crossed my mind to put into crp.
