There still is TONS (600k+) of forested public. I own in seOH. There is a ton of public, more coming BUT there is a bunch (of Wayne NF) that was just opened up for mineral exploration. Like most states OH is pretty diverse, NW is flat and all ag, central is mixed hilly and ag, NE is flat mixed...

I bought Grandpa Rays mx last year- could smell the garlic- put 5lbs into a 1600lb feeder in Ohio and they didnt even touch it when it was the only corn around and winter conditions. Dumped the feeder.

I would say where one would say the effort to be in the program provided results greater than if one was not. Tools that lead to financial offset toward wildlife habitat improvements to which the owner was grateful they proceeded with the govnt help versus tackled it alone.

I guess a better way to have phrased it is who has found which programs to be worthwhile....
