I bought Grandpa Rays mx last year- could smell the garlic- put 5lbs into a 1600lb feeder in Ohio and they didnt even touch it when it was the only corn around and winter conditions.
Dumped the feeder.
I would say where one would say the effort to be in the program provided results greater than if one was not. Tools that lead to financial offset toward wildlife habitat improvements to which the owner was grateful they proceeded with the govnt help versus tackled it alone.
While I have had some experience with EQUIP I have not with CRP.
Equip experience was in two different states; One went super smooth and easy with a "surprised everyone with hunting dirt doesnt do this"....the other was not the same. The biologist and program admin were super busy or lazy and...
Forgive the random ask- but I will be able to sign up next year for the first time- are there any good resources out there on what I may or may not want to do? This is a deer-centric property where the income would be nice but I'm not chasing money to any detriment of deer (cover).

Obviously you're known for your Iowa home team but your depth with issues outside of the state is awesome. You're an advocate for us and im grateful.
