    Switch grass problem?

I have several large areas of mature Cave-N-Rock switch in Washington County that is basically laying over, and has been for several weeks. I'm 5'7" and can see across it easily. The blades also have a fair amount of brown dead areas on them. Wondering what could be the cause.

    Drilling warm season grasses?

I was watching a video last night about drilling warm season grasses (everything other than switch). The man making the video explained that he no longer uses the warm season box on his drill and actually prefers using the large seed box calibrated to a mix of cracked corn and his seed mixture...

Ask for help: Great Plains Small Seed Box

I made some baffles out of cardboard and duct tape for my cut down JD drill...problem solved. I'll probably eventually make some out of sheet metal and pop rivet them on.

    Anybody using a Woods drill?

I need to have the ability to plant anything from native grassed (mainly switch) to larger seeds like...

Is 2,4-DB the same, in that you can plant brassicas into a plot 7 days later after spraying? I hit my new alfalfa plots with it last week and plan on lightly spreading in some brassicas into the bare spots.

    Spraying clover and alfalfa?

Getting ready to spray a few "established " clover patches and a few alfalfa plots I just started this year. The Alfalfa is anywhere from 2-6" tall with oats as a cover crop. I'm seeing some weed pressure in the alfalfa, and the clover patches need some help too. I have a jug of Clethodim and...

    Backpack recommendations

The fanny pack style I received would have worked great, but for some reason, none of the manufacturers that I have looked at so far don't include straps that would go from the shoulder area down to the fanny pack so outer layers of clothes could be packed in. The search continues. I'm trying...

    Backpack recommendations

I've had the same Rocky backpack for the last 25 years, but its about ready for the garbage can. I've been looking for a replacement, but the main problem I am having is finding one that has straps on the outside for packing in clothes....since I got most of my clothing on at the base of my...
