Same here. Mine are clip on. I take em out before shotgun season. I have no problem with cleaning up the timber when the season is over. However mine were put up this season and stolen this season as well.

Your local hardware store should have a rubber patch kit for garden hoses. Make sure the kit has a patch big enough for the tear. Some only have small patches. My hardware guy showed them to me and he's used them. You mix the goop, spread it on your patch and boot. Wait til its tacky and press...
