Well I went ahead and replanted. Went conventional and plan to spray them with foliar and enlist duo once they germinate. See what happens

Has any had experience planting soybeans this late? I have a no till field that failed due to lack of rain. Was debating replanting tomorrow as we have some moisture now. Im in the NE corner but we seldom get frost until mid to late October. I know the stats and the hypothetical outcome just...
I have a Farmall 75c, I went with that over the NH T4.75 due to a few issues I read with the NH. I went with the C series over the lower due to a little finer finish. I went Farmall over Kubota because the rear end and frame of the Farmall was significantly heavier. Kubota has a clutch history I...
I use Garlon 4 with bark oil for stumps an basal application. Garlon 3a and water for foliar. Does a good job. Milestone for black locust. I prefer to pull honeysuckle then foliar vs mulch personally. Done it both ways but pulling is easy then stack and burn.

I would absolutely say more crp. A good native mix with plenty of forbes is like a huge food plot. A majority of a deers diety is native browse. On a smaller farm cover is paramount to hold and keep big mature deer. Food is important but cover is also and you need more cover than dedicated food...
I would venture to guess a good many against cell cams would also say, your against deer drives? Don't do them, to each thier own. How about foodplots? How about other ways to manipulate deer movement such as hinge cuts? Brush piles along plots? Lots of ways to change a deers patterns and...
Here every year there is a large camp of Hmong that camp rught at the lot of one public chunk. Can be as many as 20-25. They put up tents, tarps and I wish I could say they clean up after. There are also several other lots that have campers and tents during nov. If thats a rule its not enforced...
Not the same situation. There are several other access points to this public. Its not locked and he isn't trying to stop everyone from access

I dont know if they are or are not, a few years back someone tried it in the dark and got stuck on a tree. Came knocking at 5 a.m. soaked and all his stuff in the creek. Some things are better left alone.

Thats the second issue, normally its not deep enough to make it without having to get out and walk. Right now its a bit high.

Its not me, I have the responsibility to watch over a farm for a landowner who lives off site. There is now a group that is intermittently using the bridge to access the creek with kayaks to go 1/4 mile to get into some public hunting. To do so they have to cross private ground and the landowner...
Has anyone had a situation where they have dealt with access to a creek from a bridge? Basically from a gravel road to the creek where all the ground is private. I have read the regs but not sure I am clear on the meandering vs non meandering.

I plant them with a Kinze and finger pickups. Does a solid job. I use peredovic sunflowers and don't mess with tons of chemicals since I'm not dove hunting. I am going to mix them with iron clay cowpeas in a 1 acre plot this time out of my drill for an experiment. Deer really seem to like them...
I know of at least 5 non residents that would buy land tomorrow if it got them a tag each year. The long term effects of a law like that would be negative for those who make the state home. Who cares if the quality is great if you can't compete for a spot to hunt. Whats next if you lease enough...
Lots of collateral damage in and around these ash groves as they die out. The other mature trees have been susceptible to blow down as they loose the protection of the mature ash around them. Ash has short fibers and decay is pretty quick so I am not sure I would invest a ton of time removing...
I would look towards plants like cow peas or Austrian peas. Or sunn hemp is growing in popularity. Going to produce alot more and have a better chance to have some availability sooner. Still get a good start going into the next year. Still need 6-8 weeks

Simple answer is no. Soybeans don't produce the N many people think. Only about 50% of what's needed for the plant itzelf to produce more than an average yield. Also the availability of that nitrogen is also not immediate or not in whole. I'm not an expert but I believe it takes 6-8 weeks of...
In some cases it may, if the timing is right. Otherwise the fins are pretty important for crimping the stem in multiple places to terminate
