Haha, Heartland Bowhunter had a deer they killed last year that they called "Daddy Fat Sack" for this exact reason. Only 120" 8 pointer but he was old and packing!
Thanks guys! He was super excited about it. It wasn't the BEST deer in the heard to shoot, but i am not the guy to tell a kid no after he sat in a tree for 3 + hours in 100 degree heat!
It seems like just last week we were taking pictures of Spencer's first turkey! Last night we were able to close the deal on his first deer. I can not begin to explain how excited i am to have a new hunting buddy! This kid will be a hunter for life!
Spencer, a family friend, just turned 11 and...
Well said my friend! My thoughts exactly! I too am only 25 and i too have killed 5 deer which will all be mounted. 3 currently are and the other two in the process. One of my best hunting buddies just started "really" bow hunting 3 years ago. He has killed 2 really mature deer in the past 2...
I have never "lost" a camera but i have misplaced a few stands... Last weekend my dad did call me and ask me where we put out a camera a few weeks ago. He knew the general location but a Bushnell Trophy cam can be awfully hard to find this time of year if you do not know the exact tree. 20...

This is a great thread! I am sure that several guys can relate to my opinion to all of this.
I LOVE to bow hunt, everything about it gets me fired up! But the part i love most is getting an opportunity at a mature whitetail. Of course i would like to shoot a 160 every year, but score truly...
I think the blood runners are a great concept, i just worry that they will not fly well at long distances. But for a deer hunting broad head, they would be great. You get the best of both worlds.
The arrow passed through and the exit hole was right behind the far shoulder at almost the same height. My only explanation is that 2 blades went between the heart and lungs as it rotated... Pretty crazy though huh?!!!
No this is not going to be another Rage vs. No Rage thread! I just wanted to post the video that i made of a late season doe hunt in KS last year. This was my first time ever trying a mechanical broad head for deer. I was given a pack of Swhacker 2" cut 2 blades by a rep in the industry. He told...
