To be clear on the thread, I am not for this at all. You might as well change the name of the season to Late gun season.... The late season "muzzleloader" truck hunters will have a field day with this.
Local gun store is advertising it is now legal to use a 450 Bushmaster AR Pistol in the late muzzleloader season. Last year he said it was illegal due to the atf classification of a pistol can only have so many inches beyond the rear grip but he says this year the law changed and is now legal...
They are a tool not the answer. Youll wonder wtf you got yourself into the first time you hang one . I remember thinking it wasnt for me the first time. Dont forget a bow pull up rope.
Ive always looked into that rope mod but never had the nads to try it . I second the bracket idea, I have XOP silver with the brackets, the brackets made it 5x easier to hang. Only thing id change is getting muddy pro sticks.
500 yards ? Ive seen tons of people not shoot well to 300 yards me included. All the magnums suck to shoot but my Tikka 7 rem mag is what I use. Hard to beat for the price , make sure you lead sled the factory ammo at 100 yards to see what groups, mine hates hornady american whitetail.
Agreed, triple check the area with multiple people . Youd be be surprised how many times you can walk by a dead buck in the weeds 10 yards away. Also find any good dog with a nose for blood and take it for a walk.
You sound like the tactical comando I see at walmart who open carrys the glock on his leg holster . Ive taken a few chewings and confrontations and never once felt threatened enough to think about a gun lol
Agree 110 percent . Look, I might of went off on a little rant earlier in the thread and exaggerated some things, I apologize, I do tend to be sarcastic at times too. Buying grounds not in my playbook anytime soon unless something drastic happens like marrying a dr or hitting the lotto . I...
To a point , Ive been hunting on buying a guy a beer or there and being a good member of society for what the last 10 years ? At what cost - Free . Sure you might not shoot 160 inchers every year but THERE IS more to life. Its great if you can afford it , no doubt- Im jealous of you guys ...
I dont even turn them on anymore. Way way better stuff on youtube and listen to podcast. If my TV blew up tommorow I could care less. Now the internet and laptop thats a different story.
No shame in being cheap - first year I bow hunted I bought a 200 dollar bow off Craigslist sat in homemade ground blinds with no quiver - just carried three Walmart arrows and broadheads lol
