I would personally purchase a Simmons Scope, you can snag a 4-14 x 44 for $89 from Natchez Shooting Supply or even a 6-21x44 if you wanted more power. I personally bought the 4-14 for my AR but use the 6-21 on my .204 and .243.
I don't understand why everyone shoots the 3x9 scope when they...
Brother just bought 1 of these yesterday the "c" model in a .40 and seems to like it. I went with the Springfield .40 XD sub compact and really like it so far as well.
Too early for any real reviews from us but all of the hand guns we picked up seemed to be a very nice and it ended up being a...
Areas in Monroe are bad, I believe the local CO confirmed 45 dead deer on a 400 to 500 acre public piece and I have found 11 dead on a 150 acre farm just a quarter mile away.....was a shame, some good deer died.
Is that a railroad bed in the picture? Without hunting it and judging by what you are saying I would probably walk the rail bed in to the creek and then the creek to the base of my tree with any NE winds.
A Decoy might help bring the action closer to you. Sounds like a great spot! Good luck!
I agree with Daver, you could hunt your current location on a NE wind assuming the deer didn't head directly west once they crossed the creek.
Which way do they tend to feed towards once in the field on your side of the creek?
This site looks great and prices look very reasonable for bulk rope. Do you have any experience as to which strand count a guy needs? Will 12 strand suffice? Have you made life lines yourself?
Thanks so much
Agreed, I am literally a tick magnet of all kinds. I bet I pulled at least 20 off of me this summer that were attached and that's not counting the hundreds I brushed off prior to attaching.
I am sure a few were small deer ticks but mostly not. Does the doc always give prescription without...
Does anyone make these themselves or have a link to the types of rope you might want to buy to construct these? Any thoughts about making them yourself?
Frontline is an excellent choice, my lab is in the timber with me everytime I go and never has a tick. They may attached to her but then they quickly die and fall off.
Found right in a field entrance right, Moravia/Centerville area. Seen that on cell phones all over here in Monroe County.
2 dandy bucks for sure, should make an awesome display. Congrats to him on the once in a lifetime find.
Can't think of anything he doesn't like about it to tell you the truth, he didn't get to use it much this year because I pretty much stole it from him and I have absolutely no complaints about the pack.
Only thing for me is that if you walk in a long ways it would make my back hot. I know it...
My brother has the Badlands Super Day and I have the Badlands 2200. I feel that my 2200 is over kill for the whitetail woods unless you are packing in a stand each time you go.
We can comfortably get all our hunting gear as well as the camera gear (tree arm & base) in/on his super day. You...
Hammering turnips for us. 3 bucks from 3.5 to 5.5 in the plot at 2pm broad daylight yesterday on our way in. Killed 2 does and say probably 20 more does and approximately 15 different bucks. High deer density and the plot is very secluded surround by big timber and thick river bottom. The 2...
Do you want something you can print off yourself or a large laminate map? Bing is what I believe the best for a do it yourself or check out mytopo.com for a bigger aerial map.
I was in the stand when a buck came running through with 2 pushers right behind him, shots flying and me in the tree....what a great experience.
These idiots even saw my truck at the gate and said, "well we were already committed to hunting this piece, we just hoped you werent actually in here"
