    New to Iowa

The landowner of the land I hunt on is wanting to clear some trails for his sons to use their four wheelers they are getting for Christmas. I'm sure he'd take as much help as possible come spring. PM me if you'd be interested. His land is right by Don Williams Park in Boone County.

    Poacher Screen

Cedars are great habitat for small game and upland birds, especially in the winter, and even more so when you have a blizzard role through.

Went out tonight figuring that they would be moving to get some food before the front moves in. I saw nothing. Kind of strange.

Make sure you submit him at the Iowa Deer Classic under the four point category. He'll do well there.

My favorite thing about deer hunting!!!

Agreed. Best tasting stuff on the market. The Cracked Pepper 'n Garlic is the best flavor they have. Worth the ten bones it costs.

    Slug hunters sub forum?

Who cares if people find out that I bow hunt private land, and shoot any deer that moves on public land while party hunting during first season shotgun because we like to fill our freezers and don't care about the trophies.

    Deer Harvest Numbers???????????????????

Crazy what information you can get when people actually call in their deer like they are required to by law! We filled all but three of 13 tags this year, but we saw half the number of deer, and no deer on some property that we always shoot deer on.

    Blue Tongue

Same thing with us in Marion County on public ground at Lake Red Rock. We usually see much more deer. Didn't shoot our first deer until after 2 on Saturday. And that's with a party of 13. We shot two nice deer though. Got a good set of rattling antlers off a 10 point 130 class deer I shot.
