My thought is that anything having a .62 cal projectile coming very close to it would expire from the shock wave around it. :D
Another job well done, and you look good doing it.
Hey, My hat is off to anyone that can get a deer with a handgun. I managed to get my first one a couple years ago during late MZ season. I was very happy also.
I am no handgunner and a little error at the end of the barrel goes a long ways. I have more confidence in my longbow.
Well folks, I'm a little rusty on this skill, but I have to make a new string for my old longbow. They just last too long. I skated through this season with a couple bad strands on my lower nock. Today I blew the dust off my jig and I'm off. I can feel the aching in my hands already :(.
That works as a great hunting memory in my book. Nothing like taking your own personal skills to the test.
Congratulations!
I always say I would rather shoot a doe with a trad tool than any B&C buck with my other toys.
I can't add anything except traditional must be "in your blood" to do well. You cannot take PC (pre-compound) notions with you and survive. I have some friends that I hunt with that have high dollar stickbows collecting dust because they could not deal with the difference in the methods. Their...
What is her name? We need to know who to watch the hunting news for in the future!
That is as good as it gets. My daughter Emily harvested her first deer about 12 years ago at the age of 14.
I will never have a memory of hunting any better than that one.
Congratulations to both of you.
Don't set unreasonable expectations and don't gauge your hunting enjoyment on the garbage being advertised all around us. Take every moment in the woods as a blessing to be thankful for.
Try to enjoy the challenges as another aspect of testing your hunting skill and savvy. The best thing I...
I have to say as long as I can enjoy my traditional equipment and the resources can handle everyone, then let it go. Society in general is not interested in the reality of taking time to develope completley self sufficiant skills or we would not be using computers. The IWC is full of posts that...
Keep mine strung all season, Aug - Dec. Going on it's 20th consecutive season. Yea, that's right, the same bow.
If it ain't broke don't fix it or trade it. 8^)
