    What to Do???????

I have thought about the food plot deal as well. The timber actually borders a hay/crop field but like ghost said having a secluded plot may help as well. There is a perfect place for a small one right in the middle of the timber.

    What to Do???????

Just got a small piece of timber bought. It's 31 acres of upland timber. Mature hardwoods of oak hickory and such, multiflora rose, and small trees. Very very, thick. I know thick is good, but, I can't even hardly walk through the place. The piece is adjoined with hundreds of acres of big...

    black lab pups

In Iowa you should be able to find a good hunting lab for $500 and under. You probably won't get something that has titled parents and such but there are alot of good "hunting" dogs around that just aren't trialed or tested. Make sure and check out both parents and ask to maybe see them on...

    smoke as cover scent?

[ QUOTE ] I could be wrong on this but, I am pretty sure. There was an article a few years back in one of the hunting magazines. The guy was called the "deer toucher" he had literally touched some 62 deer or some crazy number like that. I believe he was native american, and that he used smoke...

    Has Anyone?

A buddy and I each bought the O/U's and both really like them. Always wanted a over under but didn't want to worry about scratching a $1000 gun. Considering the price it's a heck of a gun.

    Smoker Recipes

Thanks for the advise guys keep the recipes coming. JNRBRONC, I have been around the charcoal smokers with friends and family and wasn't to happy with trying to keep the temp from flucuating.
