We are still doing OK this year a little east of you, but adequate rainfall is a really elusive commodity for us in many years. It just seems nuts that 150 miles away things are radically flooded.

I have not seen any myself, here in Iowa. But I have heard people talk about the occasional one being around. Perhaps there are a few more northerners these days??

I think you make many valid points to consider, it is definitely true that it is easier, via technology and gear, etc, to bag an old buck than it once was. But...there is a clear distinction here IMO in that the cell cam can give the exact location of a living beast in real time to a hunter...
