I still enjoy watching some hunting shows. Maybe I am just simple minded, but I watch these shows and it gets me fired up for season. I imagine myself in that scenario and feel just a small taste of that anticipation and excitement. I do like seeing some new tactics too.

They were great about it. They sent me another cover, but it had the same cruddy zippers . . . . I just think a non zipper design would be better. May not seal as well, but will open and close easier and quieter.

I hope the zippers are better than the ones on my Redneck soft side blind. They are just terrible. I ended up poking holes and using bungee cords to hold the windows up.

NE Iowa the DNR actually clear cut the Cedar trees on some of the more bare side hills for rattler habitat. Just great for those of us that climb those hills to get to the turkeys. See more and more every year.

Yeah, where we hunt a lot changes from Summer to Fall. Rarely do I see deer in Summer pics that are still around for Fall, but I know a lot of you have your nice ones living on your land. Just getting a excited a little early and hoping some of you are seeing some that get you pumped.

Anybody having any old or new potential target bucks showing up on cams? All I have gotten so far are does with fawns and young bucks.

Has anyone tried a Tactacam Reveal X yet? Great price point, but . . . . Do you know if this camera can be used in a place where you can't get cell service? It would just operate like a regular non-cell camera?

I was feeling a little concerned due to the amount of gobbling, but this morning it seemed like a few new birds moved into our area. This 2 year old came in all by his lonesome in a perfect, gobble - strut - gobble hunt. Not the best pic, but I know the rules. No pic = didn't happen

Does anyone know if the DNR is doing any studies to understand numbers or potential reasons for decreases? We have been reporting harvests for a number of years now. Are we taking more than we grow? I guess I haven't heard if the DNR is working on this or not . . .
