I want to plant brassicas in last years rye plot and do the rotation. Ive mowed and sprayed etc. Can I just broadcast and culti pack the brassica seed or do I need to till the ground also. thanks.

I planted rye last fall and am going to rotate to brassicas. I usually plant the brassicas around mid July. When should I mow the rye. Should I mow and wait a couple weeks then spray and kill it. thnx.

Yes by hand, I usually take about the size of a basketball I guess. You will chop through the roots etc, but I've never lost any at all and they've been up to my height and I'm 6'.

Looks good. I've personally moved 4-5' cedars and they've all done well. none died.

How long until your libertys started putting out apples and how are they producing now?

Thanks for the replies. I planted 20 apple trees last fall and was planning on putting red cedars in as a screen. I guess I'm debating on what I should do now as the cedars would be a great screen for me.

Are these not supposed to be planted in the same area? Thought I heard that some place? Anyone have the answer on this..........
