Money talks. Legislators are no longer servant leaders, but rather career politicians. Insurance companies and farm bureau donations have their hands so deep in their pockets that they just as well be puppets

All hunters will need a new license because current one ends January 10. That's possibly one of the reasons why these tags are not sold online. The forced interaction with a license vendor will allow for this info to be discussed. Non resident licenses are $144. County specific antlerless tags...

    Helping out the deer.

This is what happens when there is a big snow followed by a week straight of below 0 air temps. Found this one shed hunting in March, there were numerous signs of bark eaten off the trees. Massive mainframe 8 point. Wasn't the only one found

    Land Market Hasnt Slowed down

I've shared here before that my family runs grain elevators. They've done so for roughly 50 years. 2021 was their highest year ever for bushels brought in / yields. 2022, they were were in level 2+3 drought region and yields were down 20-25%. Yet, 2022 was their second highest ever year. Pair...

    Land Market Hasnt Slowed down

The most recent Iowa land value survey stated that 81% of Iowa ag land is not financed. Another contributing factor was the build up of cash from record commodity prices and the non availability of machinery due to factory delays. Three years ago, I got 30 pounds of sausage for $250. If I use a processor now I do all the deboning myself...
