Does Iowa DNR Ever Buy Land?

I can't remember ever seeing any new public land popping up on the maps ever. Except maybe walk in. With all the crazy new bills to increase opportunity, why don't they do it by buying land? Or maybe they do and I don't know. Where I live on the NY\Mass line, both states have tons of public and...

    1 Buck state In iowa??

I think the idea is for the good of all. Not 1 guy giving up his tag. But what's Lakosky, Bill W, Drury's, Midwest Whitetail, Jared mills, etc gonna do?? It won't affect bowmars, they'll just poach what they want , LOL

    1 Buck state In iowa??

I think residents of Iowa deserve the 2 tags. Imagine trying to give back a tag to your twisted government? They'd freak out at not killing all those extra deer. lol Fyi ,Anyone that doesn't know, I'm a non res

If these people have to "apply" and be in the draw with other non residents , then who cares if they only have pay half for the tag?

Great buck, awesome for him. But....this guy doesn't seem hardcore. He got the deer on a drive. And sorry, but if you can't get a buck in 20 years in Iowa, well then.. just sayin. But congrats to the guy !

    History of this site

As far as I can tell, some form of the site started in late 1998. Seems there was something 98 and 99. Also seems like some improved site was made in 2000. 2000 is the furthest back I can find a post. And yes, it seems a guy named Tony started it. You guys should go on the "Iowa whitetail...

    History of this site

First paragraph from the wayback machine: "This site is dedicated to an animal that is often times seen only by the sign it leaves. The acute senses and secretive habits make the whitetail hard to observe. Their beauty, grace, and intelligence make them one of the most prized trophies in...

    History of this site

I went to the "Iowa Whitetail Conference" and clicked on the last page of threads. The earliest dates I could find where from 2000. I read a post where some form of the site was started in 1998. It is very interesting to go back and read some of the threads and thoughts of that time. Many...

    Coon Trapping Kits

I used sardines, probably to expensive now. They love them and the smell attracts.

    Honey bees

Just insulation. No quilt box. Just an inner cover with the bee gap down to let moisture out. I'm no expert. Last year all my hives wintered. This year half. It's a tricky keeping those bees going. (the verroa destructor mite is hard to deal with)
