    Antlerless hunting question

For those of you that hold antlerless tags (Bow). Do you have stands or locations that you will not take a Doe, for fear of messing up the area for a buck? What factors do you consider in your decision making?

    Wade Wagner

I was watching the news last night and this piece came on. The Cedar Rapids deer task farce is kicking around urban deer hunt again... nothing too earth shattering there. But then ol' Wade comes on and still opposes the hunt, inhumane reasons so on and so forth. What really catches my attention...

    Turkey Gun and Bow tags

Received an e-mail that next year DNR will allow a hunter to get a bow tag, and one gun tag. Bow tag for all seasons like now and the gun tag for one particular season of choice. Anyone hear this or is it old news? This was out of the meeting last night in Cedar Rapids.

    Venisin Recipies?

Yes, no water. I think putting it in frozen is enough. The stuff melts in your mouth!

    Venisin Recipies?

For a roast: Put roast in a crock-pot FROZEN. Add 1 pack of Hidden Vally Ranch dressing mix, and 1 pack of Lipton onion soup mix, Low heat for around 8 hours. Depending on the weight of course. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

    Good Boots

Last year I purchased a over the boot product by Artic Shield. By far the best $50 bucks I ever spent in my life. I slip them on when I get to my stand. The velcro is a little noisey, but my feet were never warmer... for what it's worth.

    I hope I didn't make a mistake!!!!

I hope you get him also Moose. No harm intended, I'm just sittin' in the cheap seats observing. I hope to see anything close to that this year. Good luck.

    I hope I didn't make a mistake!!!!

Ah greed, one of the more famous sins. "He would of been by far been the best deer with a bow for me. But I've seen better out there". With that quote I vote for the mistake side of the story. Sounds like you would of made a giant jump in your bowhunting career, and what's wrong with that? It...

    Tree stand advice

Thanks for the responses so far. But what makes me an easy target is I use ladder stands. My knees are all but shot, and I like the stability I get out of a ladder stand. I need to catch him there! But like LIV4rut said you don't know what kind of idiot this guy might be.

    Tree stand advice

To condense this story I'll just start with this: I went to my tree stand Sunday evening and it was apparent someone used it Friday or Saturday. I've double checked my permission to be there and as of last night I was still the only one to have permission. So other than the note I'm going to...

Without going into great detail. How closely do you guys and gals follow the moon phases come bow season? Little discussion here at work today, and I'm just curious.
