Best sit & climb stand out there?

Thanks for the comments so far. I guess I really hadn't thought about not being able to find good trees. So that's a great point. Unfortunately for myself a hang on won't work for me. Climbing sticks are too challenging for me since I have a Prostetic leg. Not 100% sure a climber would be...

Best sit & climb stand out there?

I've never owned one and have always hunted out of ladder stands but I'm looking to hunt more public land this year and think a sit & climb stand might be the best for me. So what does everyone like/have for Sit & Climb stands? Ok.... Go!

Charles City Hunter Hit By Slug

Yet more people die from falling out of a deer stand than being killed by a slug. Hmmm....

    Scent Drags

I had a young buck follow my drag all the way to my stand last weekend. I though he might climb up my ladder with me! Ha! I hung it on the bottom step so I wouldn't forget it. Next time I'm dropping it 10 yards out. I'll put it this way. For as cheap as they are to buy why wouldn't you use...

    best extenda saw?

I have both the wicked hand saw and the pole saw. Both great products. I will admit the wicked hand saw takes longer than other hand saws and the wicked pole saw when cutting things. The pole saw is much easier to cut with for some reason. It does have a longer blade than the hand saw. That...

    Tag soup..

License should say 209 Nonambulatory hunter. Season dates 09/21/2013- 12/11/2013 and 12/14/2013 -01/10/2014. Not sure why they left a 2 day gap in there. Call the DNR to see if you can still get the license. Good luck!

    Tag soup..

Sounds like you might qualify for a non ambulatory deer tag. Good for any season until used. Can use a Shotgun or muzzy. Need to get a permit for it but once your doctor signs off on it it's good for life. I'd look into it if you want to hunt multiple seasons. Might not be able to get one...

    Buckscore software reviews

I'm new to bow hunting and I know the buckscore software has been around for a few years but do guys like it? How accurate does it seem to be for those that have used it? Thanks for any help or advise you can give me. Trying to decide if its worth $25 or not. I've got some decent trail...

    Big Eight

Now the other Eight is a really wide guy... Same dilemma... Seems all the good Tens are missing this year from central Iowa at least where we are at.

    Big Eight

I think he is the same guy I passed last year but hard to tell for sure. Got great video of him coming into my rattling... Here is a pic from last year... He totally busts me in the video but not enough to make him bolt. http://youtu.be/3q6TvaowTn4
